Aleesha Washington is a Licensed Professional counselor with over 3 years of experience working with children, adolescents, couples, and individuals. Aleesha began her journey by working with battered women, abused and neglected children, and this propelled her into healing work. Her experience lies in childhood trauma, couples issues, identity building, life transitions, and issues in spirituality. Aleesha’s interest in family dynamic issues spans from singleness, recently separated, premarital, infidelity, blended families and familial hardships due to transition.
Aleesha attained her Masters of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling earned from Lamar University, a bachelors of arts in Cultural Anthropology and African American Studies at the University of North Texas and is pursuing a doctorate in marriage and family therapy at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Aleesha is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas (License #83685) as well as a National Certified Counselor (NCC).
