Andrew Rogers

Andrew Rogers is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas with experience working with a diverse area of issues such as depression, anxiety, social anxiety, phobias, AD/HD as well as parenting-related concerns. Andrew has spent the past nine years working with families with a foster or adoptive background, as well as providing instruction and training to parents in need of general parenting guidance. Andrew also has significant experience working with individuals with a background of abuse and neglect, as well as relationship and marital counseling. Andrew's approach to counseling utilizes narrative therapy and combines cognitive-behavioral and existential approaches in order to help clients examine their past in order to take control of their present and future. This holistic approach ensures a client-centered environment, at the heart of which is the therapeutic relationship and a belief in fostering a safe and healthy connection with clients in order to create an atmosphere of felt safety and trust.

Andrew attended LeTourneau Univesity in Longview, TX where he earned his Master's in Counseling in 2017 before obtaining his counseling license (LPC License #81091) in January of 2021. Andrew believes that counseling can provide the safe atmosphere and necessary tools to assist clients in unburdening themselves of the weight and restrictions that past trauma can often create. While not everyone carries such baggage, mindfulness and cognitive retraining are just some of the tools that can be utilized to help people of all walks of life find freedom from mental health issues like anxiety and depression. Walking with clients on such a journey is one of the most fulfilling parts that Andrew enjoys while connecting with them along the way.
