Kathryn Chacra focuses on helping adults, adolescents, and parents manage issues related to mental health, medical trauma, grief, and life transitions. She builds a relationship that allows you to share your story in a way that feels safe, accessible, and worthy of your time. She helps you organize your thoughts and feelings into a plan of action for real quality of life.
Kathryn obtained her Master of Science in Social Work at Columbia University in the City of New York and her Bachelor in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. She has worked with school counseling organizations as well as been employed by one of the largest urban school districts helping students, families and teachers engage in services to help improve the mental health of our schools. Kathryn also has extensive history as a medical social worker in different outpatient settings helping patients and caregivers adjust to changes in their health, abilities and needs as a result of a medical diagnosis.
Kathryn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and is authorized by the state to offer supervision to other social workers in need of learning more about mental health service delivery. She aims to ensure clients are provided the highest quality of care while also being afforded a genuine, caring relationship to explore their needs and wants without judgment.
