I have made it my mission to walk with those who feel alone, isolated and nervous or fearful of the future especially during these trying and uncertain times in which we are currently living. My non-judgmental, person-centered approach offers clients the opportunity to change how they relate to past experiences while developing a more workable perspective using a variety of techniques and strategies tailored to the individual needs of each client. Some of these strategies include mindfulness, progressive muscle relaxation, acceptance and cognitive defusion just to name a few all from an Acceptance & Commitment Therapy framework.
I received my master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2013 and became licensed to practice in Texas in 2014. I am a life-long learner always seeking to increase my skill set to better help others. I have completed numerous hours of continuing education, which include a trauma certification and board certification in tele-mental health. I have spent the last 3 years working with veterans which has inspired my passion to work with those suffering with trauma, anxiety & depression.
