I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas, having attained my license in 2008. I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Texas A&M- Kingsville. Furthermore, I hold a master’s degree in clinical psychology, as well as a doctoral degree in educational leadership, both from the University of Texas-Pan American now University of Texas of the Rio Grande Valley. For the last five years, I have been working at a non-profit organization for under-privileged individuals. My professional experience ranges from working at private, public, and state school districts as teacher and administrator and having a broad experience in counseling working with children, adolescents, and adults in mental, emotional, relational, and occupational areas of their lives. My specialties are Traumas and PTSD, Relationships, Addictions, Anxiety, and Depression. Issues addressed have been alcohol and substance use, anger management, behavioral issues, career counseling, coping skills, domestic violence, emotional disturbance, grief, intellectual and learning disabilities, weight loss, smoke cessation, parenting skills, stress, and spirituality issues.
