Renee Brown is a License Professional Counselor with over 8 years of experience working with children, teens and adults. Renee has worked with individuals challenged with depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, domestic violence, childhood sexual abuse, life transitions and concerns as related to school. While Renee utilizes a holistic approach to providing therapy her concentration lies in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Renee obtained a Master of Science in Counseling at Texas A&M University-Commerce and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education at East Texas State University. Renee has worked with clients in several non-profits The Family Place serving women surviving domestic violence and/or childhood sexual abuse, New Beginnings serving women and children in a shelter setting that had fled from domestic violence, The Center for Survivors of Torture which served refugees and asylum seekers fleeing their home countries due to physical, mental and emotional torture and Catholic Charities of Central Texas serving persons with depression, anxiety, trauma and life transitions.
Renee is License Professional Counselor in the state of Texas (71695). Renee believes everyone, has the ability too, create positive changes that will allow individuals to live a more fruitful, happy, and productive life. The role of the counselor is to provide the support and tools that a client needs to achieve their goals that is what Renee facilitates through the therapeutic relationship.
