Shelly Ray Gilbert is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor with over 20 years experience. Shelly has worked with children, adolescents, families and groups while working on issues including depression, anxiety, addiction, trauma and personality disorders. Each client receives individualized treatment based on their needs and goals.
Shelly received her Masters of Education in Counseling from the University of North Texas in 2000 and a Bachelors of Science in Communication Disorders from the University of Texas at Austin in 1991. She received Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor status in 2011. Shelly has been in private practice since 2003. Prior to private practice, Shelly worked in the non-profit arena at the Collin County Children’s Advocacy Center for 5 years. She also provided services at an inpatient setting for addiction. Shelly has a special love for victims of sexual abuse and other trauma including PTSD.
