Victoria Gonzalez is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas (license # 79183) with 4 years of experience working with adults, adolescents and their families. Victoria has worked with individuals living with depression, anxiety, stress, and trauma. Victoria’s method of counseling is a cognitive behavioral approach applied by utilizing individualized techniques tailored to each client’s specific needs and goals.
Prior to private practice Victoria has provided services at an inpatient behavioral health hospital for individuals who have experienced significant self-harming, or life-threatening, behavior due to severe depression, psychosis, anxiety or other mental health disorders. The individuals who received these services ranged from adolescents to geriatric populations. Services included providing support through individual and group psychotherapy, connecting individuals with resources in their community, providing family therapy, and working with each patient to develop coping skills to use once they have returned home. She also has experience in working with adults who are processing through probation or open CPS cases and need counseling in order to develop the right coping skills to recover from alcohol and drug use.
Victoria believes people aren't meant to face life's challenges alone. We need the right support in order to build the confidence necessary to face every challenge life gives us. The solution isn't to know how to avoid these difficulties, but rather, to develop the right skills to trust that we can overcome them.
